This overwhelming response underscores the community's recognition of the program's value and the high demand for adult education services.

High School Equivalency Diplomas: A Significant Achievement

One of the most crucial milestones for adult learners is earning a High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma. For the 2023-2024 program year, the goal was set at 94 students. South Bend Adult Education has once again outperformed expectations, with 116 students earning their HSE credential so far. This achievement not only highlights the dedication of the students but also the exceptional support and guidance provided by the educators and staff.

Measurable Skill Gains: Exceeding Expectations

The program's success isn't just about enrollment and diplomas; it's also about ensuring that students make measurable skill gains. The target for students achieving measurable skill gains was set to meet or exceed 69% by the end of the program year on June 30, 2024. As of today, an impressive 74.18% of students have already achieved this milestone, demonstrating the program's effectiveness in enhancing the skills and competencies of its learners.
