PEAKS AND VALLEYS REMAIN EVEN IF SUMMER '09 MARKS RECESSION'S BOTTOM; N. INDIANA REGIONAL JOBLESS RATE UP TO 13.5% in May   
     If the unprecedented downturn plaguing Northern Indiana and other regions across the global economy hits bottom during the summer of 2009, there still — unfortunately — will be peaks and valleys in such bottom-of-the-recession terrain, as shown by Northern Indiana's jobless rate rising in May '09 after falling the previous month.
