Appointed by local government officials from the five counties of Indiana's Economic Growth Region 2, board mem- bers serve the Northern Indiana region as volunteers, and they are responsible for establishing administrative policies and procedures for the operations of WorkOne Northern Indiana.

About Strengthening 304,000-Member Workforce
Among other topics, members regularly discuss overarching ideas and proposals to strengthen the training, educational attainment, workplace readiness, and soft skills of the region's workforce of 304,000 individuals. The volunteer board is reponsible for implementing the federal Workforce Investment Act, the federal Wagner-Peyser Act, other federal laws and policies, and numerous Indiana policies.
