orkOne Centers cooperate with numerous partners to provide employment and training services to qualifying individuals and to assist businesses seeking to fill positions or expand their workforces.

Transition Resources
Transition Resources (TRC), located at WorkOne Centers, provides employment and training services to farmworkers and their dependents who meet certain eligibility requirements.  Case managers who speak both English and Spanish are located at WorkOne Centers.  Click for more information on TRC plus migrant and seasonal farmworker assistance.

Indiana Department of
Workforce Development

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (IDWD), working with local WorkOne Centers, administers Indiana’s employment and training programs, as well as the unemployment insurance system.  Go to IDWD for more details on employment services, veterans’ employment, disabled veteran outreach programs, and special circumstances for dislocated workers related to the Trade Adjustment Act (TAA) and the Trade Readjustment Act (TRA).

St. Joseph County
Division of Family Resources

WorkOne refers qualifying individuals to the St. Joseph County Division of Family Resources (DFR) for programs such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and the Indiana Manpower and Comprehensive Training (IMPACT) service. For details on these programs, visit St. Joseph County DFR.

ADEC Resources for Independence
ADEC Resources for Independence, operating through your WorkOne Center, assists people with physical or mental disabilities in making informed career choices and using support services to plan, obtain and keep a job.  ADEC services may include vocational counseling and guidance, job training and coaching, limited transportation assistance, and follow-along services to ensure success on a new job.  More details on ADEC are available from its web site.

Experience Works
Experience Works is a national, nonprofit, community-based organization whose mission is to put the experience of older individuals to work.  WorkOne partners with the local Experience Works representative to enroll eligible job seekers age 55 and older in the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP).  The program more than doubles the individual's chances of finding appropriate training and jobs in the private sector.  For details on the programs, go to Referrals for Job Seekers Over 55.

Real Services, Inc.
WorkOne makes referrals for job seekers age 55 and older to local service pro-
viders such as REAL Services Inc., serving St. Joseph, Elkhart, Marshall, LaPorte and Kosciusko counties.  For details on the programs, click to Referrals for Job Seekers Over 55.

Continuing education is important for everyone in the Northern Indiana workforce.Vocational Rehabilitation Services
The Indiana Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation provides quality, individualized services to enhance and support people with disabilities to prepare for, obtain, or retain employment.  WorkOne refers eligible individuals with disabilities to the Region 1, Area 4 Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) office in South Bend.  For additional details on these services, contact that office at (574) 232-4861, or click to the VRS web site.

atholic Charities Diocese
Fort Wayne-South Bend, Inc.

WorkOne refers individuals eligible under the Title V Older Americans Act to the Catholic Charities Diocese Fort Wayne-South Bend for services.  Catholic Charities coordinates the Senior Aide Program and RSVP.  For more information, contact the South Bend Community Service Center at (574) 234-3111 or email.

Pro Resources
Pro Resources is an employment services firm specializing in short-term and long-term staffing, recruiting and consulting.  WorkOne partners with the Pro Resources office in South Bend.  Details on the organization can be found at Pro Resources web site.

South Bend Community
School Corporation

The South Bend Community School Corporation partners with WorkOne in offering ABE/GED services in-house at the South Bend location.  For details, click on the SBCSC web site.

Elkhart Area Career Center

Elkhart Community Schools
The Elkhart Community Schools Department of Community Education provides educational programming designed to meet a wide spectrum of individual, work-

Ivy Tech
Community College

Plymouth Community School Corporation
Plymouth Community School Corporation offers Adult Computer Classes and a GED program.  For information, contact the corporation office by calling (574) 936-7268.
 
Bethel College
Bethel College is a Christian higher education provider offering majors, minors, and advanced degrees in nearly 100 fields.  The college’s Adult Services program focuses on academic programs and support services to help adult students in their pursuit of “the Light of Lifelong Learning.”  For details, go to Bethel's web site.

ITT Technical Institute
The South Bend area campus of ITT Technical Institute offers bachelor of science degrees in the following disciplines: information systems security; electronics and communications engineering technology; construction management; and
 criminal justice.
