Why Soft Skills are Vital! If You Really Want To Make a Good Impression, Let Employers See Your Soft Side!
EMPLOYERS ACROSS NORTHERN INDIANA SEEK WORKERS WITH GOOD SOFT SKILLS TO COMPLEMENT STRONG TECHNICAL ABILITIES
oft skills are vital for workers to understand and practice — especially for young people who are relatively new members of the labor force.

WorkOne knows for sure that every workplace in Northern Indiana has individuals practicing hard- and soft-skills; yet, how can we be so sure that both types of skills are so vital to employers?

We are certain in this assessment because employers themselves have told us so — repeately. In addition, the nature of good business operations and working itself mandates that both technical- and soft-skills be robust and active in a workplace — if they are not, the workplace won't be able to sustain efficient operations and eventually will close.

The South Bend Tribune published an opinion article
by WorkOne in April 2012 entitled "Soft Skills
Give Teens an Edge."
